Athlete summary
Durability asks “what is your best 1- / 5- / 20-min power after a pile of work?” Repeatability asks a different question: how many times could you still hit near that fresh best after the work?
Koyaro counts discrete efforts whose mean power is at least 95% of the fresh on-ride MMP for that duration, starting after a work gate (kJ or kJ·kg⁻¹). A 90-second spike is one effort, not thirty overlapping windows.
This is what race finales and crits actually use — repeated late punches — and it is not a 0–100 “punch score.” We do not invent how many efforts a typical pro produces.
How Koyaro measures it
| Piece | Value | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Threshold | ≥95% of fresh MMP | Leo, Spragg et al. 2021 |
| Fresh reference | Best MMP before the work gate on this ride | Same on-ride rule as durability |
| Work gates | 1000–2500 kJ, and 15–35 kJ·kg⁻¹ when mass is known | Leo 0–35 kJ·kg⁻¹ family |
| Durations | 15 / 30 / 60 / 300 s | Neuromuscular → VO₂ (not hour power) |
| Canonical dashboard | 60 s after ~2000 kJ or 20 kJ·kg⁻¹ | Race attacks; mid Leo band |
Quality of each counted effort is mean_power / fresh_MMP × 100 (always ≥95% by definition). The profile stores count + mean/best quality at each gate × duration. Race demands treat ≥1 after-work effort as demonstrating the quality — that is the Leo definition, not a population target of “you need N efforts.”
What this is not
- Not durability / power retention (Durability work thresholds in kJ/kg + fresh-vs-fatigued test, Fatigued Critical Power and W′ after prior work).
- Not planned-interval last-rep fade or surge count (Session and plan compliance).
- Not a prescribed 30/15 session (Limiter session protocols (Coach Loop M5)).
- Not a silent population punch score.
